With the temp's in the 20's during the day and 0 at night, Jim's been having a tough time keeping the fifth wheel thawed out. Poor guy! Went home to Baker after the motorcycle show to find everything frozen solid. The heat tape just couldn't keep up with the freezing temp's and him not being there for a few days to thaw stuff out on a daily basis.
We had a great time at the motorcycle show - spent the night with one of Jim's high school buddy's on Friday night and met up with a couple of friends on Saturday at the show. The drive to and from Seattle was uneventful. The roads were clear both ways and we only got lost a little bit, as opposed to way lost in bad neighborhoods kind of lost. Sat on the bikes and made "vroom vroom" noises so we didn't feel so bad missing out on riding this winter. It didn't help much though!
Jim has a new project. He traded one of his motorcycles - a V65 Honda Magna - for a 1964 Ford pickup. The pickup runs well and is now named Ol' Yeller. Jim's going to paint her John Deere yellow (of course) and white. But, not wanting to be short one bike he bought a Yamaha Virago. I think we have 9 or 10 bikes now....two project Fords....my Mustang....his Fairlane.....plus our daily drivers.....and a Toyota Camry station wagon for sale. Almost sounds like the 12 days of Christmas song.
We spent Thanksgiving in California with Jim's Dad and family. Jim got to tease and torture the nephew's. The niece wasn't quite ready for him, but next year, watch out! In his bid for favorite uncle, he grabbed a carton of ice cream and some spoons and sat on the living room floor with Lucas (the youngest nephew) and ate right out of the carton. Joshua needed his in a bowl.
