January 1, 2016

We bought a 21' Rubicon and are going to hit the road again.  Our place in Baker City will be put up for sale and until we are ready to go, we will be living in Sunnyside, WA at Mom's house. We are both unemployed and ready to try a new adventure.  We have been researching ways to make money on the road, as well as RV living hints and tips.

Some loose plans include heading to Missouri to see some of our Camp family, finding bits and pieces of Route 66, and hooking up with some of our friends down south and back east.

One of the details that hasn't been hashed out yet is finding sitters for our pets - 3 cats and a dog.  I toyed around with the idea of taking Buddy, but after today's 3 hour drive think it would be too traumatic for him, plus I don't want to take the chance of losing him somewhere.  The idea of leaving them with someone for an indefinite amount of time is scary too.  We have a few months to solve that dilemma but it's on the top of the list.

Jim resigned as Chief of the fire station and quit his job.  I resigned as Secretary of the fire station and quit my job. We are hoping our house sells quickly.  We are heading back up there next week to finish packing up and do some cleaning to get it ready to sell this spring, which will be here quicker than we think.

So, here's to 2016 and NEW ADVENTURES!!!
